Jason Williamson is blazing an impressive trail during his first year on the ESPN BASS Elite Series Tour.
In less than two full seasons fishing BASS-sanctioned professional tournaments, Jason has notched two 2nd place, four top 10 and six top 20 finishes. A hard-working, hustling, fierce competitor, Jason has already earned more than $100,000 in prize money and is considered well on his way to a successful career at professional bass fishing's top level.
A 26-year-old from Aiken, S.C., Jason is one of the youngest and hottest names in one of the country’s fastest growing sports. Jason not only has had enormous success during his Elite Series rookie tour, he has developed a reputation among his fellow competitors as a hard worker, straight shooter and, above all, class act.
Though he travels the country competing on the Elite Series Tour, Jason remembers his roots. He still spends many days working as a manager at Williamson's Auto Center, his family's business in Aiken for the past 38 years. He has worked as service writer, used car salesman and mechanic, with each job helping mold his understanding of business and people.
Jason has also given his time to help promote and work at boat shows, youth expos and other outdoor-related promotional events, often representing one of his more than 10 sponsors.
